Imagery

Henri Matisse’s paper cut-out works inspired this project’s spot illustrations.

The patterns that decorate the agenda have real-world sources: the tiled stones that pave Nice’s Place Massena; windows from the chapel Matisse decorated in Vence and tile floors from his studio in Nice; and a mosaic I saw in a men’s room at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. Can you guess which is which?
